STAS Audio is a special service of St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, with a twofold purpose: firstly, to provide
faithful and patrons with true intellectual and spiritual nourishment by making available sermons, conferences, and liturgical chant recorded at the Seminary; secondly, to help support the work of forming truly Catholic priests that takes place at the Seminary.
With whom is STAS Audio affiliated?
STAS Audio is affiliated with St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, a traditional house of formation of Roman Catholic priests under the
Society of St. Pius X (SSPX). The SSPX was founded by
Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre
for this special purpose: the continuation of the Catholic priesthood through
the formation of solid, integrally Catholic priests.
What are the products that STAS Audio offers?
STAS Audio takes the best sermons, courses, and conferences
given to seminarians, digitally remasters them, and offers them to the faithful for their own spiritual and intellectual profit. The faithful are invited to benefit from this resource, for the strengthening of their faith and advancement in the spiritual life.
How can I order from STAS Audio?
STAS Audio is equipped to receive your order by
email, telephone, or fax. Payment may be made by check or money order, credit card (Mastercard or VISA only, please), or Paypal.
How long does it take to process an order?
We place emphasis
on responding to our patrons in a timely manner, but because STAS Audio is run
by seminarians we ask your patience if response is not as fast as it is in the
workaday world. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your order.
Why would I want to buy your recorded sermons?
Firstly, merely going to Mass on Sunday and
hearing a short sermon is not sufficient spiritual food to support someone for the
entire week. Especially in today's modern world, the faithful need frequent
encouragement and doctrinal support in order to continue the fight necessary to
save one's soul. The sermons delivered at the Seminary are for the young men who
will be entrusted with the salvation of many souls, once they become priests.
Since the fruitfulness of an apostolate is in proportion to a priest's holiness, seminary sermons focus heavily on the attainment of
perfection and living a truly Christian life in the 21st century. These are
words that everyone needs to hear.
I've read Shakespeare. What would I gain by
listening to Dr. White's conferences?
Dr. David White combines his great natural
ability as a speaker with a passionate love for and profound knowledge of the
works of Shakespeare. The result is an unmatched presentation of the
masterpieces of the Stratford bard. Dr. White has a gift for using classical
literature to teach essential truths about human nature and life in general. He also applies his
knowledge and practice of the Catholic Faith to draw important lessons from
Shakespeare for us living in the modern world.
I'm a layman. Why would I buy a doctrinal conference?
One of the greatest crises in the modern day Church is the lack of
knowledge among the faithful. Chances are good that you do not possess the
Faith in all its doctrinal purity. We are all affected by the ideas around us.
The 21st century atmosphere billboards, newspapers, music, television are
completely saturated with atheistic materialism and liberalism, along with the wicked principles
which accompany them. These doctrinal conferences unmask the lies of
our revolutionary societies and present the real truth, proceeding from God, the
source of all reality. Every layman ought to arm himself with the right thinking
that will in a sense immunize him from the innumerable errors plaguing modern
society. The doctrinal conferences are precisely this armor.
I'm not Catholic, but your recordings are insightful. If I was
interested in reading more about the Catholic faith, where would I start?
Of course, the best is personal contact with a priest. We invite
all non-Catholics interested in the Faith to contact a priest of the Society at
a chapel near them. There are,
however, also many resources online giving excellent information on Catholic
beliefs. Some of these are the following:
